Our HomeCare Assistants provide non-medical, supportive care so older adults can remain at home as long as possible. Your Role: Help with groceries, meal prep, laundry, and cleaning; drive clients to appointments/stores and bring in/put away groceries (reliable vehicle required); assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, supervision, and medication reminders per each client’s care plan; provide positive companionship. Documentation: record daily tasks; report changes in client function, mental health, or cognition; report unsafe/unhealthy living conditions. Participate in staff meetings and trainings; follow procedures and guidelines. Who You Are: Interest in working with older adults; high school diploma/GED or 1+ year of directly related experience (CNAs are a great fit). Abilities/availability: reliable vehicle with valid license and insurance to transport clients; can work at least 10 hours/week during business hours; cordial and professional; flexible; organized and efficient; respectful of diverse lifestyles and needs; can read and write for record-keeping; accessible by phone; can complete training and background check requirements (must meet Illinois Health Care Worker Background Check Act/Code).
