Eastern Illinois Foodbank is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in eastern Illinois. As a member of the Feeding America network, it serves as the primary food source for food pantries, soup kitchens, and other programs addressing food insecurity. The Foodbank acquires millions of pounds of food through donations and purchases, distributing it across a network of over 160 feeding programs. By partnering with EIF, these programs save on food costs, allowing them to focus on effectively combating hunger. The Foodbank also runs targeted initiatives for children, seniors, and veterans, impacting communities across 18 counties in eastern Illinois.
