Position: Unit Coordinator – Martens Center Leadership and Supervision - Support Unit Director in implementing site programs, activities, and services that support Club mission and vision
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
- Provide support to staff in classroom and behavior management
- Support Unit Director and program staff in the development and implementation of programming and activities that are developmentally appropriate for Club members
Program Quality and Safety - Supports in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate programs that support DMBGC’s five core program areas
- Provides support to staff in recording and tracking daily attendance and program participation
- Provide site and classroom supervision to ensure safe environments and well-maintained facilities, equipment, and supplies
- Serve as key support for staff/youth during youth crisis/escalation ensuring trauma informed practices are maintained
Data and Compliance - Work with Unit Director to ensure daily attendance and program participation data reflect accurate program attendance and monitor outcomes
- Serve as lead in report card data collection process (working with member families, schools, and teachers) and support relationships with area schools and educational partners
- Support, implement, or lead staff training initiatives relating to program quality and data collection
- Provides training and supervision to Front Desk Clerk in the MyClubHub membership database; ensures accurate data entry and records
- Manage CACFP snack program (after school) and SFSP meal program (summer) ensuring documentation is accurately completed daily
Administrative and Communications - Support with the creation of staff and programming schedules and monitor staff and youth attendance
- Conduct volunteer orientation by providing comprehensive introduction to Club services and volunteer responsibilities; works with Human Resources department to conduct volunteer background and reference checks and onboard new volunteers
- Support the development of marketing materials/social media content to represent a positive Club image
- As approved or directed by the Unit Director, conduct outreach events and attend external meetings or events as appropriate to market Club activities and create relationships
Additional Responsibilities - May be required to operate Club vehicle
- May be required to directly lead programming
- May be required to work evenings or weekends to support special events and programming
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred (elementary education, psychology, child or human development, social work), or four years’ experience with a youth development organization
- Two or more years direct staff supervision or management of a team of 10+
- Previous experience with a youth development organization (direct programming preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirable
- Strong youth group and behavior management skills
- Willingness and ability to engage and be actively involved in youth recreational activities
- Valid Driver’s License and be approved by the Club's auto insurance provider
- Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for eligible full-time employees, with DMBGC covering 100% of individual health insurance premiums. Dependent coverage is available via payroll deduction. Coverage begins the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
