Cunningham Children’s Home is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our buildings and grounds across campus and agency-operated properties. This position plays a key role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained to support the children, families, and staff we serve.

The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate maintenance operations, supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, and manage vendors and contractors for repairs and facility services. This position is on-call 24 hours a day for facility-related needs.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the maintenance department and housekeeping staff, overseeing maintenance and housekeeping operations across Cunningham-operated buildings on and off campus
  • Coordinate and prioritize work orders, maintenance projects, and daily facility operations
  • Oversee maintenance of buildings, equipment, vehicles, campus grounds, and the swimming pool
  • Perform general maintenance and repair work as needed
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service technicians for specialized repairs and services
  • Assist with furniture moving, facility setups, painting, and other operational needs
  • Maintain strong working relationships with staff, vendors, and community partners

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance and repair
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance, repair, and building systems
  • Ability to prioritize work orders and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and contractors

      Physical & Work Environment

      • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors
      • Regular walking across campus buildings
      • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
      • Use of maintenance equipment, lawn equipment, and agency vehicles
