SALARY
$20 - $30 per hour
REQUIREMENTS
High School/GED and/or Associate’s Degree
3-5 years’ experience in a purchasing position.
Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Experience with Power BI preferred but not required.
JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Establish purchasing policies and ensure compliance.
2. Develop new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
3. Examine bids and make awards.
4. Establishes account/credit and terms.
5. Negotiate blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors cost.
6. Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.
7. Works closely with Receiving Department to ensure proper supplies have arrived.
8. Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders.
9. Communicate with suppliers/vendors.
10. Create/Manage Inventory Management of Supplies
11. Maintain Purchase Order workflow approval process
12. Support Month-End Close Process by Ensuring all freight invoices have been entered into the system and reviewing any open purchase orders at month-end.
13. Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities, supplier consolidation options, and areas of excessive variance.
14. Analyze market trends and supplier pricing data to evaluate competitiveness and recommend alternative sources.
15. Utilize data/analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.) to support strategic decision making and continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing operations.
16. Ensure compliance with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
