Plant Operator

Clarkson Specialty Lecithins

Clarkson Specialty Lecithins (CSL) is a subsidiary of Clarkson Grain Company, Inc., an Illinois-based grain, oilseed, and ingredient supplier to the global food manufacturing and animal feed industries. Founded in 2002, CSL provides natural lecithins to the food, pet food, personal care, and pharmaceutical industries. CSL supplied the world's first certified organic soy lecithin and is the one and only dedicated producer and supplier of Certified Organic and Non-GMO lecithins in the world, from soybeans to sunflower.

Responsibilities

  1. PROCESSING & PACKAGING FINISHED PRODUCTS: Accurately, safely, and efficiently prepare the production line as well as fill and label product to ensure adequate inventory of stock to fill customer orders.
  1. SANITATION: Effectively and efficiently execute the facility's sanitation programs and activities to ensure they meet or exceed required customer and regulatory food safety requirements.
  1. WAREHOUSE:
    1. OUTBOUND TRUCKS AND ORDERS: Accurately, promptly, efficiently and safely pull, package, and ship completed orders (including loading trucks) to ensure customer satisfaction.
    2. INBOUND TRUCKS: Promptly, efficiently, safely, and with the appropriate attention to detail, unload containers and trucks of raw good and packaging materials to ensure adequate inventories are maintained for production.
  1. INTERNAL DOCUMENTATION: Accurately ensure all documentation is completed and submitted to ensure all products and materials received, processed, and shipped meet defined expectations.
  1. MAINTENANCE: Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, safely, promptly and effectively install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to the safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes in order to support the achievement of the company's business goals and objectives (i.e. minimize production downtime, safe work environment).

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Technical/mechanical experience
  • Food processing/manufacturing or equivalent experience
  • Maintenance experience required
  • Successfully complete the following training and certifications. These will be provided by the employer, if needed:
      • Food Safety
      • Good Manufacturing Practices
      • Occupational Safety
  • Forklift operator
