Your Role: As a Dining Services Aide, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, ensuring that residents enjoy delicious, nutritious meals in a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include:
- Dishwashing: Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of glassware, dishes, silverware, and other dining utensils to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This is a repetitive, detail oriented responsibility.
- Supporting kitchen operations by assisting with set up and sanitization of designated working areas, kitchen stocking and upkeep, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborating with team members to deliver exceptional service and respond quickly to resident needs and preferences, contributing to a positive dining experience for all.
Schedule: This position requires week day and weekend work. The shift is either 4:00pm - 8:00pm, or 12:00pm - 8:00pm, several days per week. This is not a full-time position.
Requirements: The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualities:
- Dependability and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of residents and the dining services team.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional service to seniors.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is not required, but preferred. Training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow in this role.
- This is not a full time position . A variety of shifts are available. Please refer to the job posting for specific shifts and times.
- Ability to lift heavy items, work around hot water and chemicals and wear gloves during significant portions of each shift.
