Shift: 3-11pm Status: Full-Time

Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, all applicants must participate in and pass a criminal background check and physical after receiving a contingent employment offer.
Starting wage for CNA is $20 per hour, plus additional per hour based on experience. Shift differential for any work performed between the hours of 7:00 pm and 7:00 am.

Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Please read the job posting for specific shifts that are needed. Most shifts include weekend rotations.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our resident-centered approach to care by providing personalized support and assistance to promote resident physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Your Role: As a Certified Nursing Assistant at ClarkLindsey, you will provide friendly, compassionate, and adaptable healthcare services to older adults under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while promoting independence and maintaining dignity.
  • Providing compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering meaningful connections and enhancing quality of life.
  • Monitoring and documenting resident vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and safety techniques to prevent falls and injuries.
  • Collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs and preferences.

Requirements: The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Illinois.
  • Compassionate demeanor and genuine desire to provide person-centered care to older adults.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the evolving needs of residents and the healthcare team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with residents and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, all team members must receive the annual influenza vaccine (exemption requests will be reviewed). We also encourage team members to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Must have a valid Illinois CNA certification.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
  • Must abide by ClarkLindsey’s HIPAA privacy and security rules as described in the Employee handbook.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public.
  • Stand-by shifts are required, and will be discussed at the time of interview
  • After training is completed, CNAs will float between departments as needed to optimize resident care
