We are now accepting applications for a dependable, caring, and ambitious Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) who wants to make a difference in the lives of our adult day participants with an exciting career, offering opportunity for growth. The PRN LPN/RN will be at Circle of Friends Adult Day Center a minimum of 5 hours/day, when needed, providing exemplary care to the participants who attend the program. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking skills necessary to make efficient decisions and judgments independently.

As-Needed, Substitute RN/LPN


The PRN RN/LPN Coordinator...

  • Provides nursing care for participants including medication management, treatments, etc. (under guidance of RN if an LPN)
  • Communicates with the clients, participants, family members, physicians, and the office team
  • Supervises and guides Care Professionals on caregiving skills
  • Navigates changes in clients/participants to provide the best possible care
  • Shifts happen only Monday-Friday between 7:30am-5:30pm (minimum of 5 hours per day)

Job Requirements

  • Must be an active Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
  • Demonstrated passion for providing direct service to elderly people and/or other vulnerable clients
  • Comfort and experience working in a high-paced environment
  • Detail oriented, capable of understanding complex scheduling systems
  • Maturity, patience, and the willingness to work closely on a team
  • Excellent and adaptable people skills
  • Experience working independently, i.e. the ability to exercise good judgment, and time management skills
  • Comfortable with using various technologies (calendars, email, EMR) on a computer and smartphone
  • Flexible, self-motivated and interest in going above and beyond
  • Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
  • Successful passing of a Physical and TB test and IDPH fingerprint criminal background test
  • COVID 19 vaccination encouraged
