ClarkLindsey seeks a maintenance technician to provide minor repairs for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as assist with general building upkeep to ensure a high quality environment for residents and team members.
ClarkLindsey seeks a proactive maintenance technician to provide minor repairs for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as assist with general building upkeep to ensure a high quality environment for residents and team members. ClarkLindsey is undergoing major expansion, and this team member will maintain the new spaces as well as the existing buildings.
Applicants should have a genuine interest in working with older adults, and have a high standard for their work, combined with a service-minded approach to getting things done. As much of the work will take place in the resident apartments - their home - it is necessary to embrace the qualities of friendliness and compassion while proactively and accurately carrying out variety of maintenance requests. Successful team members are relationship-focused, able to and consider the safety, comfort and needs of the residents in every interaction.
Specific experience working with and knowledge of automatic doors and door openers such as Besam, ASSA ABLOY, Horton and others is preferred.
Experience with door security systems such as WangerGuard preferred.
Ability to participate in and pass a provided training and certification program to operate ClarkLindsey's indoor swimming pool systems.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn new systems, techniques, technologies and processes to help ClarkLindsey demonstrate excellence in the operation, functionality and appearance of the buildings.

Job Requirements
Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, all team members must receive the annual influenza vaccine (exemption requests will be reviewed). We also encourage team members to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine.
- Refrigerant certification highly preferred.
- Experience with door systems as mentioned above highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain (at ClarkLindsey's expense) certification to operate an indoor swimming pool required within 12 months of hire.
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have required HVAC certification, or have the ability to attain certification by state and federal standards within six months of hire.
- Must be able to bend, stand, reach, and exert 10 to 50 pounds of force.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
- Must abide by ClarkLindsey’s HIPAA privacy and security rules as described in the Employee handbook.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public.
