What You’ll Do
- Provide non-medical support to clients according to individualized service agreements and care expectations.
- Offer companionship and socialization through conversation, games, walks, activities, and other client-preferred engagement.
- Assist with personal services such as meal preparation, bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene, and other daily support needs.
- Support household needs such as laundry, dishwashing, cleaning, shopping, organizing, and simple home tasks.
- Provide or arrange transportation and accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, activities, or other approved destinations.
- Observe changes in client condition, routine, safety, or environment and communicate concerns promptly and factually.
- Complete required documentation accurately, thoroughly, and on time.
- Work closely with other Care Professionals and Lindsey Life Home Care team members to support smooth, reliable service delivery.
- Attend required meetings, in-services, and educational training.
- Work up to 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and some holidays as needed.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated passion for providing direct service to older adults and/or vulnerable clients.
- Maturity, patience, adaptability, and willingness to work closely as part of a team.
- Experience working independently, using sound judgment, and managing time effectively.
- Comfort using calendars, email, smartphones, and basic computer tools.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable access to a car, and active auto insurance.
- Ability to successfully complete required drug testing and IDPH fingerprint criminal background check.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, adverse weather conditions, and up to 12-hour shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Must be in good general health, as set forth by this company and division; and maintain
- Personal good health and safety practices to be able to do the job.
- This position requires bending, lifting, pushing, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- May be requested to work on weekends and holidays when necessary.
- May be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $18.75 - $19.40 per hour and is based on experience.
