Field Supervisor – Lindsey Life Home Care

About the Role
Lindsey Life Home Care is seeking a Field Supervisor to partner with leadership in ensuring clients receive appropriate, high-quality services that support safe and successful living in their own homes. This role serves as a key liaison among Care Professionals, clients, families, and leadership while supporting service oversight, scheduling, supervisory visits, staff guidance, and direct caregiving coverage as needed.
The ideal candidate is structured, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing immediate operational needs with compassionate, people-centered communication. This position requires strong follow-through, sound judgment, adaptability, and the ability to remain positive and responsive in a fast-paced home care environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to support safe, high-quality home care services in alignment with Lindsey Life policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Manage assigned work hours in alignment with billable direct care and non-billable administrative expectations
- Provide direct client care as needed, including personal care, transportation, housekeeping, errands, companionship, and other services outlined in care plans
- Develop, maintain, and adjust Care Professional and client schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care
- Conduct required in-person supervisory visits and complete documentation within established timeframes
- Orient new Care Professionals to company operations, policies, and client expectations
- Provide coaching, guidance, training recommendations, and support for fair and consistent resolution of employee concerns
- Maintain accurate Care Professional and client information in designated systems, including shift clock data, care plans, task lists, availability, and contact information
- Communicate promptly with leadership and direct care staff regarding client changes, staffing needs, and operational concerns
- Serve as a liaison among clients, families, Care Professionals, and leadership to support communication and issue resolution
- Attend required meetings, in-services, and trainings
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation and respond to staffing emergencies, client concerns, scheduling matters, and other operational needs
Schedule and On-Call Expectations
- Full-time, non-exempt position
- Regular schedule is Sunday through Thursday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- In-person availability is required Monday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Field Supervisors are expected to remain available and responsive to staffing and operational needs Monday through Thursday until 8:00 p.m.
- Schedules may be adjusted based on client needs, staffing requirements, training obligations, and operational demands
- Participates in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule, with assignments occurring one week out of every four weeks
- On-call rotation begins Friday at 6:00 p.m. and concludes the following Friday at 8:00 a.m.
- During the assigned on-call week, the Field Supervisor responds to after-hours staffing emergencies, call-offs, client concerns, scheduling issues, and related operational matters
- If coverage cannot be secured for an open shift, the Field Supervisor may be required to provide direct care coverage
During the assigned on-call week, the Field Supervisor is required to work the Saturday that falls within the rotation. An additional stipend of $100 is provided for that Saturday assignment. Field Supervisors also receive on-call pay of $2.00 per hour for designated on-call hours that fall outside of 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; actual hours worked while on call are compensated in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws and Lindsey Life payroll practices.
Qualifications
- CNA preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in community home care, home health, or facility-based healthcare within the past five years
- Demonstrated commitment to serving older adults and vulnerable populations
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and understanding of complex scheduling systems
- Maturity, patience, and ability to collaborate effectively with a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment and effective time management
- Comfort with technology, including scheduling software, email, and electronic medical record systems
- Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance
- Successful completion of physical and IDPH fingerprint criminal background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, reach, sit, and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move quickly from place to place on occasion
- Ability to assist with transfers and mobility
- Must possess sight and hearing abilities sufficient to meet the requirements of the position
- Must be able to function independently
- May be required to work weekends, holidays, and adverse weather conditions when necessary
Compensation and Benefits
- The hourly pay rate for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour and is based on experience.
