Adult Day Services Coordinator
Support engaging, person-centered care for older adults in a welcoming adult day services setting.
Lindsey Life is seeking a compassionate, organized, and hands-on Adult Day Services Coordinator to help lead daily operations in our Adult Day Center serving older adults. In this role, you will maintain a safe, engaging, and dignified environment for clients, while providing on-the-floor leadership to team members. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support care staff on the floor, including daily assignments, break coverage, and real-time coaching.
- Provide hands-on care to Members, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility, and transfers.
- Lead daily operations of the Adult Day Services program, including participant arrivals, activities, transitions, and departures.
- Provide direct support to older adult participants with activities of daily living such as mobility, dining, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate engaging activities that promote social connection, physical movement, creativity, and cognitive stimulation.
- Monitor participant well-being, respond to incidents or changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly to leadership and families as appropriate.
- Help maintain accurate care documentation and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and privacy standards.
- Foster a calm, welcoming, and respectful environment that honors the dignity, preferences, and abilities of each participant.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in caregiving, adult day services, or a similar healthcare setting.
- Prior experience providing leadership, supervision, or shift coordination preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to high-quality, person-centered care.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
- Experience working with individuals with cognitive and physical challenges.
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Current and valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in the state of Illinois preferred, not required. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, and kneel
- Must be able to lift or push up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to move quickly from place to place on occasion
- Must possess sight/hearing senses so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must be able to function independently.
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of members during emergency situations.
- Frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to assist with transfers and mobility.
Compensation and Benefits
- The hourly pay rate for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour and is based on experience.
