Make a difference through great food. We’re looking for a reliable and team-oriented Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you’ll help prepare high-quality meals that enhance the daily lives of our residents.
What You’ll Do
· Prepare foods using standardized recipes and procedures
· Cook and prepare vegetables, starches, baked goods, sauces, and more
· Ensure food quality through proper tasting and presentation
· Portion meals accurately based on dietary needs and preferences
· Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety practices
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
· Assist with kitchen cleaning and equipment care
What We’re Looking For
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to follow recipes and perform basic math
· Strong attention to detail and food quality
· Team player with a positive attitude
· Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
· At least two years of prep, line cook, fine dining, or banquet experience
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of your shift
· Comfortable working in varying kitchen temperatures
· Able to move throughout the facility and kitchen areas
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 - $21.45 per hour, and is based on experience. Bonuses equaling up to 2% of salary annually are available based on performance, generally in the spring and fall each year.
