About Us
Lindsey Life Adult Day Center has been a trusted resource for older adults and their families in Champaign since 1997. We provide enriching socialization and engagement programs in a warm, neighborhood setting. Our center operates Monday through Friday, with shifts available between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Full-Time Care Professional to join our compassionate team. This role involves providing friendly, respectful assistance with daily living activities, monitoring members’ health and well-being, and supporting a collaborative care team to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
CNA certification is not required, though CNAs are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Member Care
· Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
· Support mobility and transfers per center policies.
· Foster a positive, engaging atmosphere through companionship.
2. Health Monitoring
· Monitor vital signs and report changes in health or behavior.
· Support care plan implementation and maintain a clean, safe environment.
3. Activity Engagement
· Help plan and participate in recreational and therapeutic activities.
· Provide one-on-one interaction during activities.
4. Documentation
· Accurately record care using an electronic health record system.
5. Team Collaboration
· Work closely with nurses, therapists, social workers, and activity coordinators.
· Attend team meetings and required training.
· Communicate effectively with members, families, and staff.
6. Compliance
· Follow all policies and regulations, including HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols.
· Complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum 1 year of caregiving or healthcare experience (geriatrics/adult day services preferred). Experience working in a memory care environment highly preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Comfort working with individuals with cognitive and physical challenges.
· Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
· CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
· ServSafe certification required and certified food protection manager credential preferred.
· Valid Illinois driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a personal vehicle.
· Pre-employment background check, physical, and vehicle insurance verification required.
Compensation & Benefits
· Hourly Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 (based on experience)
