- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with ESL or Bilingual Endorsement
- A strong background in teaching early literacy to ML students with low language proficiencies is strongly recommended.
- This position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; however, interviews may be conducted after February 23, 2026, so interested applicants should submit their materials ASAP to ensure consideration.
- This position is for the District's MLL Newcomer Summer School Program, which will be located at International Prep Academy.
- MLL teachers will work with MLL students to build their language skills in English through cooperative learning and hands-on experience.
- This program runs Monday-Thursday from June 3, 2026 - July 2, 2026.
- Student contact hours will be from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Staff will be expected to be on duty (and will be paid) from 7:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
- There will also be an initial required training (paid) June 1-June 2, 2026 from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
- Teachers will be paid at the rate of $40.00/hour.

- Champaign Unit 4 Schools serves over 10,000 PreK-Young Adult students in 18 facilities, which include twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, one early childhood facility, and the Novak Academy.
