- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to showing up for students and team members
- Available to work all 7 weeks
- Experience working with children 5-12 years of age (preferred)
- This position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; however, interviews may be conducted after February 18, 2026, so interested applicants should submit their materials ASAP to ensure consideration.
- This position is for the District's Kids Plus Summer Program, which will be located at TBD.
- Summer Camp runs Monday through Thursday from June 3, 2026 through July 16, 2026.
- Student Contact Hours will be from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- Staff will be expected to be on duty (and will be paid) from 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with a one hour unpaid lunch break.
- Initial required training (paid) will be June 1, 2026 and June 2, 2026 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m at the Douglas Branch Library (504 E. Grove Street, Champaign, IL).
- Recreation Leaders will be paid at the rate of $17.80/hour.

- Champaign Unit 4 Schools serves over 10,000 PreK-Young Adult students in 18 facilities, which include twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, one early childhood facility, and the Novak Academy.
