About the Job


Do you have a passion for dance and a talent for leadership? The Champaign Park District is seeking a Dance Arts Supervisor to oversee our Dance Arts Conservatory. In this role, you’ll shape the curriculum, lead a team of instructors, coordinate outreach performances, and produce the annual dance performance that showcases local talent. You’ll combine artistry with administration to create high-quality programs that inspire students and enrich our community.

Summary of Responsibilities


  • Oversee the Dance Arts Conservatory, including curriculum development and program quality.
  • Hire, train, and supervise dance staff, providing leadership and professional guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and community partners.
  • Manage budgets, equipment, supplies, and program administration.
  • Plan and execute the annual dance performance, including program content, logistics, and costuming.
  • Coordinate and schedule outreach performances that connect the Park District with the community.
  • Maintain accurate records, registration details, rosters, and attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and uphold confidentiality and professionalism.
