Sports OfficialChampaign Park District – Part-Time 2 (hours not to exceed 19 per week on average), Non-Exempt, paid per-game


About the Job:Join our team as a Sports Official and play a vital role in delivering fair, safe, and enjoyable games for youth and adult leagues. This position is perfect for someone who loves sports, thrives under pressure, and enjoys promoting teamwork and sportsmanship while ensuring rules are followed during games and tournaments.

7v7 - Unlicensed: $20/game
Licensed: $30/game
9v9 - Unlicensed: $25/game
Licensed: $35/game
11v11 - Unlicensed: AR- $25/game
CR- $35/game
11v11 Licensed: AR - $35/game
CPR - $45/game
(7v7 & 9v9 - 2man crew, 11v11 - 3man crew)

$15/hour for required meetings.


Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Officiate league games and tournaments in accordance with rules and Park District policies
  • Make quick, impartial judgments and clearly communicate decisions to players and coaches
  • Maintain game control, ensuring safety and positive sportsmanship
  • Mentor and support less experienced officials
  • Effectively resolve on-field conflicts
  • Attend required meetings, workshops, and training sessions
  • Work evenings and weekends as scheduled
  • Stay adaptable and open to learning new sports and activities
