The Head Start Teacher Substitute is responsible for providing leadership in the classroom and carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child and Illinois Early Learning Standards. Champaign County Regional Planning Commission Early Head Start Program serves children from birth to 5 years-old. An important role of the Head Start Teacher Substitute is to provide leadership for our students and by creating a positive learning environment where Head Start children gain the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that lead to future school success.
