This position involves examination and monitoring of animals for health and wellness; administering treatments and medications to shelter animals; fecal analysis; basic cytologies, etc. Hours will include weekend days, some evenings, and some holidays. Starting pay is $16.50/hour. Qualifications include experience handling dogs and cats in a veterinary setting, strong communication and data entry skills; experience with other small animals and restraint a plus. Responsibilities include exams/monitoring, administering treatments/medications, and communicating with the Shelter Veterinarian, Shelter Manager, medical staff, and others.
