Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Digital Operations Specialist to drive operational excellence and scalability across our digital analytics ecosystem. This role will mentor the Analytics Administrator, champion efficiency improvements, and enable the enrollment of 100,000 machines into our intelligent analytics platform. Familiarity with the Cat Foresight backend is essential to ensure seamless integration and enhanced analytics coverage.
What You Will Do:
- Assists Analytics Team with implementing new products, new releases and software upgrades. Responds to inquiries and requests from clients.
- Supports users in product operation and maintenance.
- Participates in analysis of client identified issues or problems which may require changes to software, procedures, or documentation.
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves common technical problems. Escalates as per procedures.
What You Will Have:
- Effective Communications: Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Analytics Product Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of technical aspects of analytics products; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of analytics products.
- Analytics Release Management: Extensive knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for managing versions and distribution of software products and enhancements; ability to evaluate and improve release management practices and tools.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Extensive knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
Considerations for Top Candidates:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience:
- Typically 5+ years in digital operations or systems administration roles.
- Proven experience mentoring junior team members.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale system deployments and automation.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Cat Foresight backend and related infrastructure.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.
- Extensive experience using APIs via Postman
- Strong understanding of data integration and analytics platforms.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:
This position will have the option to be based out of our Champaign, IL or Peoria, IL offices.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $179,640.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
