Overview
Responsibilities
- Issue, modify, and deactivate identification badges and electronic credentials in access control systems.
- Maintain accurate records for new hires, terminations, and department changes.
- Troubleshoot badge-related access issues and provide user support.
- Monitor system alerts and handle emergency lockdowns or overrides as necessary.
- Coordinate with HR, IT, Facilities, and Security teams to enforce access control protocols.
- Provide identification badge access reports to security-sensitive area leaders for review and validation.
- Print and encode physical badges using appropriate printers.
- Conduct periodic audits of access rights and resolve exceptions.
- Support visitor management processes, including temporary badges and vendor access control.
- Follow privacy and security protocols like HIPAA and facility confidentiality standards.
- Manage the inventory of badge supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Performs general clerical duties.
