Overview
Responsibilities
Essential Functions |
Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, provide counseling services to patients and their families through individual and/or group settings.
|
Identify concerns and make referrals to others when needed with guidance and support from supervisor
|
Maintain accurate records and complete all forms, assessments and file management paperwork as directed
|
Facilitate and effectively utilize evidence-based practices in individual and group counseling settings
|
Department Specific Job Function |
Complete ASAM based alcohol and drug assessments and develop treatment recommendations and plans with support of supervisor. |
Helps patients and families identify resources in their community which support ongoing recovery journey |
Non Essential Job Functions |
Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities |
Professionally communicate with referral sources and staff of partner agencies |
Participate in weekly supervision with clinical leaders to review cases, receive feedback and enhance skills/knowledge as a provider. |

Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) within 2 years - Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association (IAODAPCA) |

Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Knowledge of addiction, mental health, and substance use disorders |
