The CNI RN Program Coordinator oversees the daily activities of the CNI Program (includes Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pain and Sleep Medicine). This position collaborates with various departments/physicians/staff to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care possible. Works with the education team and leadership to ensure all team members have the appropriate related training Oversees certain stroke related meetings. Serves as a Quality Management Representative related to program certification (Sleep Lab and Epilepsy), maintenance and development. Assists with and coordinates data management and analysis of aggregate clinical outcomes as per DNV or other Accrediting bodies' performance measures. The Program Coordinator collaborates with the medical directors, and relevant leadership team to move the program to the next level of achievement.
Qualifications
License/Certifications:
IHI Open School Basic Certificate in Quality and Safety within 2 years - Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required)

Responsibilities
Analyzes data and health records from stroke patients; able to identify educational and quality opportunities for the CNI program. Conducts gap analysis and leads improvement activities. Supports Carle's response to national, state, regional and local changes in neuroscience care delivery models during healthcare reform, recognizing implications of actions and engaging neuroscience leadership team in financial decisions that impact patient outcomes. Collaborates providers to implement neuroscience clinical protocols and guidelines to enhance quality neuroscience care. May act as a research liaison among the IRB, research staff, and principal investigator on studies relevant to stroke/neurosurgery/neurosciences. Monitors stroke patient satisfaction with Carle's Neuroscience program. Provides specialty knowledge and supports the neuroscience data collection/reporting and analysis of the neuroscience program. Attends inpatient stroke related meetings as needed. Leads certain meetings within the CNI program, providing both agenda and minutes. Provides staff education or inservice at Neuro staff meetings or other staff meetings as directed. Attends provider meetings assigned to provide education and current CNI data. Facilitates quality outcome reviews as needed within applicable service line. Serves as a RN backup for the Stroke Program Coordinator role to meet DNV requirements. Other duties as assigned including patient care tasks during high census of staffing needs. Collaborates providers to implement neuroscience clinical protocols and guidelines to enhance quality neuroscience care. Provides specialty knowledge and supports the neuroscience data collection/reporting and analysis of the neuroscience program. Facilitates quality outcome reviews as needed within applicable service line. Serves as a RN backup for the Stroke Program Coordinator role to meet DNV requirements.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $32.45per hour - $55.81per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
