Your Role:

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily receiving and material-staging activities to ensure components are received accurately, safely, and on time and are readily available to support production requirements. This role oversees the movement, organization, and staging of materials from receiving through production, ensuring the correct components are delivered to the appropriate production lines when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide direct supervision for receiving staff with focus on Safety, Quality and Efficiency.
  • Schedule daily priorities and monitor realization of Receiving Departmental goals.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and resources including personnel, material, and equipment to support changing needs and consistently meet deadlines with expected results.
  • Work closely with quality, inventory, and production department personnel to ensure coordination of resources to support production demands.
  • Establish realistic work expectations, behavior and performance standards and a personal development plan for each employee, then coach to those requirements.
  • Lead by example, follow all company policies, procedures and GMP’s, and assure adherence through training and communication.
  • Provide a "Customer Service" attitude that has a high focus on sense of urgency.
  • Facilitate effective communication and teamwork to resolve problems and maximize efficiency.
  • Document work processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Audit documents for proper completion, investigate issues, make process improvement recommendations and provide corrective action.
  • Attend daily production meetings and facilitate effective communication between departments.
  • Coordinate the system receipts, purchase orders, and invoice information with corporate.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS, ABILITIES and EDUCATION:

  • Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of MRP.
  • Good communications, team building and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan and accomplish goals.
  • Must possess good communication, managerial planning, training and team building skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Primarily sedentary work; ability to sit for extended periods with periodic standing/walking.
  • Frequent use of computer, keyboard, and phone; repetitive hand/wrist motions.
  • Ability to read, review, and interpret printed and digital documents/specifications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via email/virtual meetings.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of samples/materials up to 25 lbs.

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and assure that employees are following safe working practices, using appropriate safety equipment, and trained in applicable procedures required by OSHA and GMP.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this role is $67,000/yr–$78,000/yr and considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
