Your Role:
This is a great opportunity for a motivated chemist looking to build a career in personal care formulation. The Associate Chemist will support the development of hair care products (shampoo, conditioners, gels), foundations, lotions, sunscreens, and other personal care products, gaining hands-on experience while contributing fresh ideas to the growth of the company.
Job Title: Associate Chemist
Reports to: R&D Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Formulating, researching, testing, and troubleshooting for the development and stability of new and existing personal care products.
- Developing new formulas from scratch and reformulating existing products.
- Researching and utilizing new raw materials for formulas.
- Managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and other stakeholders throughout product development.
- Maintaining compliance with cGMP standards and safety protocols.
Qualifications for the Associate Chemist:
- Prior experience in personal care or cosmetics formulation is preferred, but candidates with relevant coursework, internships, or research experience are also encouraged to apply
- Foundational understanding of emulsions, surfactant chemistry, polymers and film formers, and preservative systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn and grow within a team environment
- Creative, self-motivated, and eager to think outside the box in a fast-paced environment
Education Requirements:
B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field

COMPENSATION:
The salary for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
