Your Role:

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, product‑contact surfaces, and facility areas used in the manufacturing of personal care products. This role supports product quality, consumer safety, and compliance with cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) by maintaining a clean, orderly, and hygienic manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Clean and sanitize product‑contact equipment and manufacturing areas per company procedures and cosmetic GMPs.
  • Perform pre‑rinse, wash, sanitize, and reassemble manufacturing, mixing, and filling equipment.
  • Visually inspect equipment before and after cleaning to confirm cleanliness, proper assembly, and condition.
  • Complete required sanitation logs, records, and documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Safely handle, mix, and apply cleaning and sanitizing chemicals per written procedures and SDS requirements.
  • Measure chemicals and dilution ratios using basic math skills.
  • Follow equipment safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, and protect moisture‑sensitive components.
  • Clean and sanitize tanks, mixers, fillers, manifolds, drains, and assigned facility areas.
  • Maintain clean, organized sanitation workspaces, tools, and storage areas.
  • Coordinate with leads to support proper shutdowns, line release, and production readiness.

Identify and report sanitation, safety, or equipment issues and assist in corrective actions.

  • Wear required PPE and follow all safety policies at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, ABILITIES and EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Prior experience in sanitation or GMP‑regulated manufacturing preferred.

COMPENSATION:

The hourly pay for this role is $19.50 per hour.
