JOB TITLE: A Compounder

REPORTS TO: Processing Supervisor

PURPOSE: Responsible for creating product batches safely and efficiently following

established procedures in a manner that minimizes product losses and adjustments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform all tasks in a fashion that assures personal safety and the safety of others.
• Follow proper batching and sanitation procedures for compounding.
• Maintain the necessary documentation and distribute appropriately.
• Check release tags to confirm that all batch components are correct and unexpired.
• Communicate with the Production Department to ensure that batch back-ups exist to respond to production needs.
• Perform Compounder B duties as necessary.
• Adhere to good housekeeping practices and clean spills promptly.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Manager, Supervisor or Leads.

SKILLS, ABILITIES and EDUCATION:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. in a safe manner using proper lifting technique.
• Ability to physically maneuver drums weighing up to 610 lbs. using proper technique.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must possess attention to detail and good math skills.
• Must know GMP’s and always ensure adherence to GMP’s.
• Competence in the knowledge of proper materials control.
• Possess good teamwork and communication skills.
