Your Role:
Processes shipments for Rantoul Distribution Center in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring procedures relating to inventory and movement of goods are followed in accordance with Corporate Procedures. Uses accepted cycle count procedures to maintain inventory records. Contributes to the efficient operation of the Shipping Department with emphasis on responsiveness to the needs of customers and the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide a "Customer Service" attitude that has a high focus on sense of urgency.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with all departments and customers.
- Assure compliance with all shipper requirements and federal, state, and local requirements including OSHA, EPA and other regulatory bodies.
- Process international shipments and prepare needed paperwork.
- Perform cycle counts based upon RF requirements.
- Perform order picking using a reach forklift.
- Prepare all the required daily, weekly, and month-end Inventory reports for Rantoul.
- Check completed orders for accuracy and investigate reported shipping errors within 24 hours of notice.
- Investigate problem items and report any discrepancies more than $500 to Management.
- Coordinate with quality control to monitor lot codes and expired goods.
- Monitor outside warehouse, reconcile monthly and perform physical inventory when requested.
- Keep track of all locations that are not for permanent stock hold and move/count the inventory in these locations as needed.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities and resources to support changing needs of the DC.
- Cross-train to provide support and back-up for office clerk and cycle counting.
- Understand proper and safe disposal of hazardous waste into satellite containers. Notify EHS Manager when the container is full. Understand proper marking and labeling of satellite containers. Sign Hazardous Waste Manifests, as necessary.
- Responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders as part of daily operational duties.
- Perform ALL other duties as assigned by Distribution Center Supervisors and Manager.
SKILLS, ABILITIES and EDUCATION:
- Ability to physically lift to 50 pounds.
- Able to sit or stand for long periods, in a constantly changing warehouse environment.
- Experience with a WMS system and RF scanners.
- Possess good math, organizational and computer skills (ERP/WMS/Office/Excel/Word).
- Possess good professional written and verbal communication skills.
- IMDG, IATA, and 49CFR certified.
- Possess high level interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and vendors.
- Possess time management & organizational skills; Ability to multi-task & react to changing priorities.
- Required Hazardous Waste training includes Proper storage, timetables for storage, labeling and marking requirements, Emergency Action Plan / Haz Waste Contingency Plan.
- Able to work on elevated platforms, up to 30 feet in the air.
- Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner.

COMPENSATION:
The hourly wage for this position is expected to be $18.50.
