Your Role
Manages the efficient operation of the Distribution Center and maintains effective communication with other departments to direct distribution center employees and accurately ship products in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leads Distribution departments to meet established budget, productivity, customer service and quality requirements.
- Manage and monitor inventory in support of Customer Service and to control investment.
- Coordinate all information flow regarding system information, procedures in materials flow, and customer service.
- Work closely with corporate to coordinate handling of routine, and repetitive purchasing.
- Assures departmental adherence to CGMPs and maintains them within the department via training and communication.
- Develops and implements plans to improve the safety, productivity and efficiency of departments.
- Instill a safety discipline and a progressive attitude towards reducing workplace accidents as well as timely response, investigation and reporting of workplace accidents.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities and resources including personnel, material, and equipment to support changing needs and consistently meet deadlines with expected results.
- Provide direct supervision for employees with focus on Safety, Quality and Efficiency.
- Establish realistic work expectations, behavior and performance standards and a personal development plan for each employee, then coach to those requirements.
- Lead by example, follow all company policies and procedures, and assure adherence through training and communication.
- Work closely with department supervisors, leads and personnel to maintain an efficient flow of materials and meet daily goals.
- Provide a "Customer Service" attitude that has a high focus on sense of urgency.
- Facilitate teamwork to troubleshoot and resolve problems and maximize efficiency.
- Inform management of developments as they occur, and complete written reports.
- Document work processes and standard operating procedures.
- Assure compliance with all federal, state and local requirements including FDA, OSHA and EPA.
SKILLS, ABILITIES and EDUCATION:
- In-depth knowledge of processes and procedures in a distribution operation.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent distribution management experience.
- Possess excellent communication, coaching, planning, training and team building skills.
- Possess high level interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, motivate employees and elicit work output.
- International and domestic logistics management experience.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the expected annual salary for this position is $78,000 – $92,000 USD.
