Building Service Worker
Village of Savoy
The Village of Savoy, Illinois (population 8,857), seeks qualified and motivated candidates or the position of Building Service Worker. This is an hourly full-time non-exempt position that works under the direct supervision of the Operations Supervisor they are assigned to. Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled cleaning and maintenance work in the interior and exterior of Village owned buildings, as well as landscaping and snow and ice response activities, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
- Must possess, and subsequently maintain, a valid Illinois driver’s license.
- Valid Illinois Pesticide Operators license or the ability to obtain on within twelve (12) months.
Compensation and Benefit Package
The hourly wage for this position is $20.00. Additionally, the Village offers free individual membership to the Village’s Recreation Center; a comprehensive benefit package that includes paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, individual life insurance; 100% employer-paid comprehensive health insurance (employee pays 50% of premiums for dependents); and enrollment in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
