POSITION SUMMARY

The Full Time Registered Nurse - Nurse Manager will float to all areas of ClarkLindsey's campus, and provide nursing support where needed. The Nurse Manager will work in MeadowBrook Health Center, Assisted Living and the Green House Homes.

This full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse who enjoys administrative responsibilities, as well as direct care. The nurse manager is subject to be called in in the event of emergency. This position will be part of the nursing department weekend-call rotation.

Education and Experience

  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Illinois.
Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred. Experience in nursing home required.
  • Experience with supervision and leadership principles preferred. Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint required. Experience with PointClick Care preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Works in office area as well as throughout the facility and its premises. Moves frequently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc. under all conditions/circumstances. Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions. Subject to the potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.

Specific Requirements

  • Must operate within the Nursing Practice Act at all times. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Ability to use sound judgement to make day-to-day decisions about matters contained in the job description, independently.

  • Ability to learn and use technology related to the position, and teach others to use it. Must be able to push and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to support persons (200 pounds or more) in emergency situations. Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel and assist in transfer of residents. Must be able to move quickly from place to place. Must be able to competently and safely perform tasks such as medication preparation and administration.

Benefits and Compensation

  • The pay range for this salaried position is $80,000 - $94,000, and is based on experience. Bonuses equaling up to 2% of salary annually are available based on performance, generally in the spring and fall each year.

    Any stand-by shifts are paid at $2.50 per hour while on stand-by, and at the normal hourly rate if called in.

Job Requirements

  • Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, all team members must receive the annual influenza vaccine (exemption requests will be reviewed). We also encourage team members to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Must have an active Illinois nursing license. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language. Must abide by ClarkLindsey’s HIPAA privacy and security rules as described in the Employee handbook. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public. Stand-by shifts are required. This will be discussed during the interview process. After training, nurses may float between departments to optimize resident care needs.
