As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate billing, managing accounts receivable, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to maintain financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities

Billing Oversight:
-
Manage all third-party billing activities for therapy and skilled nursing care services.

Ensure accurate monthly statements and electronic insurance claims.

Coordinate with external billing vendors to verify insurance coverage and authorizations.

Communicate with residents and families regarding billing inquiries.

Accounts Receivable Management:
-
Oversee insurance AR processes, reconcile payor accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.

Implement strategies to reduce aging accounts and improve cash flow.

Compliance & Regulatory:
-
Ensure adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations.

Stay current on CMS and NCCI updates and implement necessary changes.

Facilitate monthly claim accuracy checks and lead audit responses and.

Collaboration & Reporting:
-
Work closely with clinical, therapy, and administrative teams to maintain accurate census and billing data.

Generate AR and revenue cycle performance reports for leadership.
What You Bring
-
Required: 2–5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, billing, and AR.

Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist designation preferred.

Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor requirements.

Proficiency in EMR/billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Able to stay focused despite interruptions.

This is a hybrid position. Will be performed both on and off site.
The salary range for this position is $61,000 to $65,000 annually, based on experience, with performance bonuses available.
